First Day At School Role play

we watch Topsy & Tim’s first day at school on the lap top and then the children enjoy pretending to have breakfast and get dressed ready for their first day at school.

Again conversations around feelings of excitement and talking through anything they may have concerns over all done through play .

Independent Dressing

The children are all so excited to try on uniform.

Together they work hard on putting their clothes on and off themselves. They discuss the different colours and logos on the uniforms and begin to understand that some of them will be going to different schools .

My Uniform is so lovely, I feel so proud!

Meeting our teachers is so exciting and we are so eager to tell them how clever we are! Seeing a familiar face on our first day at school really helps us to settle.

It also gives us an opportunity to share our likes and dislikes and ask any questions we may have

We do lots of activities about choosing healthy food.

And we can already serve up our own dinner and safely carry it back to our place

A visit from our community Lollipop man helps us to understand how to keep safe on our journey to school,

We had lots of fun driving our cars around the garden and stopping for the Lollipop man.

Inside we reflect on what we have seen and enjoy some painting and craft.

At Lucy Lockets we are all ready for school!

Graduation party details will be sent home soon
